Conferences
Two conferences concluded the work begun with the General States:
- the Conference for a Just Transition in Belgium, which was held on 8 and 9 November 2023
- the European Conference organised as part of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union, which took place on 4 and 5 March 2024.
The conferences
The Belgian conference
The aim of the conference for a just transition in Belgium, which was part of the government agreement, was to address the challenges in terms of employment, social policy, retraining and the economy, in order to equip Belgium for the path towards a sustainable society.
The European conference
Following the Belgian conference on just transition, the Belgian Presidency organised a European conference on just transition, coordinated by the Federal Minister for Climate, Environment, Sustainable Development and the Green Deal, Zakia Khattabi.
